Vaccine for celiac disease a step closer to reality

"As of today, there's no cure for celiac, and it can only be treated by eliminating gluten from the diet.
But that could soon change. A team of doctors at Melbourne's Walter and Eliza Hall Institute completed the first phase of a clinical trial on a new potential vaccine which doctors say aims to essentially turn off the body's toxic reaction to gluten."

Homemade Honey Caramels

I gratefully received a jar of pure honey made from home raised honeybees. I have been spoiled! No longer does the store bought, cute little plastic bear models of honey come close to comparing to what I have now. Savoring every taste, I sought for recipes I could use the honey with without masking it's naturally appealing taste. I found a simple honey caramel recipe that ended up being just what I was looking for and a perfect treat to share.

Barbequed Country Ribs

Deliciously tender and a fun cooking technique. Try these ribs for your next family dinner! I accompanied the ribs with a homemade potato salad which I have also included the recipe for. ENJOY :)

Corn Tortilla Chicken Lasagna

This has become a quick and easy 'go to' casserole dish of mine. Everyone in the family loves it and leftovers
are always a bonus. It can be "stretched" to fit a bigger crowd by adding extra beans.

Snyder's Gluten Free Pretzels

Though pretzels hardly are consider a nutrient dense food it was one of my favorite snacks before I went Gluten Free. Snyder's NEW GLUTEN FREE PRETZELS mimic the taste I remember and have only a subtle different texture according to a second opinion who currently eats gluten.
